Generate
Text to image. Output count, up to 10 per request, aspect ratio, and resolution (1K or 2K) are request parameters.
Edit
Send a source image and describe the change in plain language. The source can be a public URL, a base64 data URI, or an uploaded file id.
Combine up to three images
One edit request takes up to three sources, for compositing subjects, transferring a style, or building a scene from references. The output aspect ratio follows the first input unless you set aspect_ratio.
Style transfer
The same image rendered as photography, anime, oil painting, or pencil sketch.
Multi-turn
Feed each output back in as the next input to refine a result step by step.
images.edit()
images.edit() does not work here.
The popular images.edit() helper in many SDKs sends multipart/form-data. Grokified requires application/json, so the call fails here too. images.generate() is unaffected: it never sends a file upload. For edits, skip the SDK helper. Use a plain HTTP request or the Vercel AI SDK. The image generation API docs show the full edit request, including multiple reference images.
